Here's my latest adventure in miniature tack, a show bridle and surcingle(also called a bitting rig) made for Breyer's Cleveland Bay mold. It is shown here on my original finish(OF) Breyer #703 "Tregoyd Journeyman"(known in my "herd" as "Cynewulf T'gellan")
Made with kangaroo lace in 1/16"(browband lining), 3/32", and 1/4" widths, hand dyed to mahogany with Tandy's Pro Dye. The browband is decorated with 5ss Swarovski crystals in sky blue. Buckles are by Rio Rondo- [link] . Browband rosettes are 6mm flat nailhead studs. To be totally correct this really should have a "horseshoe" stud bit and not a snaffle(wasn't thorough enough in my research this time! Whoops.). Sold on eBay. |
